Earlier back to back dates are possible, but now the embassy passed new rule to stop back to back dates booking and already implemented in the website by not showing back to back dates and its adversely effecting the slot booking process. And applicants are need to travel twice if they are from out of city of embassy where it is located. And during the trump era they are bringing more and more rules to encourage genuine persons to travel to USA
