Currently, The US Embassy has paused processing for employment-based visas, including H1B, H2B, H4, and L1,L2 There is no confirmed timeline for when appointment slots will return to normal. Since December 15, 2025, many appointments have been rescheduled from March to August 2026 for the  Applicants who booked between December 15–30, 2025, as well as those who booked in January And February, have seen their appointments moved further, with some January and February bookings now rescheduled upto January 2027. 

Due to ongoing employment concerns related to AI advancements and the current political situation, and  Strengthening security policies for employment-based visas,  The Employment  based visa processing in India remains on hold and The duration of this pause—whether temporary or long-term—remains uncertain during This Time


For submitting emergency requests, applicants must have a valid future appointment to support their case with a formal letter to the embassy. However, the current system does not permit booking any new appointment slots.
